In summary, the evolutionary basis of rationalist cosmology is in tatters because:
- as Darwin himself conceded, evolutionary theory has never provided a framework for explaining the origin of life
- if the big bang theory is correct, science has no tools to investigate origins.
- many interdependent components must be operating simultaneously for life to exist in even a single cell and that contradicts the evolutionary concept that the simplest components came into existence first and transmuted into more complex components
- it is irrational to believe the neo-Darwinian idea that the massive increases in information needed to make simple species more complex can be explained by mutations that have only ever been observed to lose information.
- intelligent beings are the only known source of information, a fact on which the rationalists pet SETI programme is founded
- because information is evidence of intelligent beings, it is irrational to believe that DNA’s 3 billion carefully sequenced instructions are a product not of intelligence, but of chance mutations that all lose information.
‘Science’ and academia need a clean up. As we will see in the Chapter headed The Nature of Existence, rationalism has underpinned an explosion of revolutionary bloodshed since 1793. Why are taxpayers funding teachers and academics to preach this brutal non-theistic religion? It jeopardizes the justice, freedom and prosperity painstakingly built over two thousand years on Christian legal values.
